Some of the Best Places for Mexican Food

There’s nothing like Mexican food for bright flavors, delicious sauces, and spice that will make you feel alive. If you’re looking for places to eat, we can tell you some of the best options for Bloomer food. These Mexican restaurants are top notch.

Casa Mexicana

We’re very lucky that the closest place for Mexican is also one of the best. Located at 324 N Bridge St in Chippewa Falls, this spot is known for its great service, good food, and excellent margaritas. If you do enjoy a pitcher or too, please do so responsibly, and never drink and drive. The fried ice cream is also particularly excellent and worth a try, even if you don’t normally go for dessert.

On Mondays, they often have deals on pitchers of Margaritas, and the frozen daiquiris are certainly nothing to sneeze at, either (try the peach). As for food, we recommend you try the Mexican flag burrito, which is topped with red, green, and cheese sauces. The enchilada blanca is another standout favorite: choose steak, chicken, or al pastor pork and top it with their excellent white cheese sauce.

Guac N’ Roll Mexican Restaurant

If you want a very authentic Mexican experience, this spot is worth the short drive. Located at 420 S Barstow St in Eau Claire, it’s open from 11am to 9pm Tuesday through Saturday: don’t miss that they’re closed on Sunday and Monday, and that there are no extended weekend hours. 
If you’re looking to branch beyond the typical Tex-Mex stuff, we’d suggest trying the quesabirria, the sope, or the torta. You can choose your favorite meat with any: asada, al pastor, birria, or shredded chicken. Whatever you choose, you can expect fresh flavors, portions that are good value for the money, and friendly service. There’s also a kid’s menu at Guac N’Roll with choice of chicken nuggets, mini quesadilla, and meat bowl.

Cancun Grille

Another option at 475 Chippewa Mall Dr #105 in Chippewa Falls, this is a spot for good, no-frills food, nice margaritas, and especially good burritos. It’s popular, so be aware before you go and plan for a line. They’re proudly family-friendly and also have good vegan options here. Their lunch specials run from 11am to 3pm Monday through Friday, and they’re open daily until 10pm (9pm on Sundays).
Be sure to try the queso fundido, which is chorizo sausage with tortillas, topped with a delicious cheese sauce. We’re also very fond of the cerviche here, which is shrimp marinated in lime, peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, and more. Their “make your own combo” option is perfect for picky eaters.
